UDALL? I DO NOT HAVE ANY SPEAKER CARDS, MR. MAYOR. THANK YOU. MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORTS.[ MAYOR AND COUNCIL REPORTS: SUMMARY OF CURRENT EVENTS]
COUNCIL MEMBER OFFICER.NO REPORT MAYOR. COUNCIL MEMBER ZIEGLER.
WELL I WOULD LIKE TO SAY SOMETHING, BUT I WON'T.
HOW WONDERFUL I FEEL TODAY, AND I'LL LEAVE IT RIGHT THERE.
YOU KNOW, I'M A CYCLIST, AND I'M OFTEN.
I OFTEN RIDE THE LOOP EXTENSION, THE NEW LOOP EXTENSION INTO MARANA.
ESPECIALLY THAT NICE NEW PART OF IT.
THEY REALLY ENJOY IT. AND IT'S REALLY A NICE LITTLE EXTENSION, SOMETHING NEW FOR EVERYBODY.
THANK KUDOS TO THE TOWN OF MARANA AND THE CALPORTLAND AND EVERYBODY HERE THAT HAS ANY PART OF THAT.
YEAH. WHAT WAS IT PARKS AND REC? PARKS AND REC. OH, YEAH. PARKS AND REC, OF COURSE.
VERY INTERESTING, VERY ENJOYABLE.
AND ALSO, MY WIFE AND I WERE AT EL RIO.
AND WE WERE THERE WITH OUR DOG LAST WEEK, AND THERE THEY WERE THERE WERE THE PARKS AND REC PEOPLE FROM THE MARANA, FROM THE ENVIRONMENTAL GROUP, AND THEY WERE AND I KNOW THE NATURAL RESOURCES GROUP NATURAL RESOURCES GROUP.
JASON AND KIM, THERE WERE TWO OF THEM THERE, AND THEY WERE BEING SO HELPFUL TO THE BIRDERS THAT WERE THERE, HELPING THEM OUT, SHOWING THEM THE BIRDS, ASKING, ANSWERING QUESTIONS THAT PEOPLE HAD ABOUT THE LAKE.
THEY WERE REALLY WORKING HARD ON IT.
I KNOW THERE WAS SOME, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER.
VICE MAYOR. YOU KNOW MAYOR, I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME COUNCIL MEMBER CAVANAUGH TO HIS FIRST MEETING AND TELL HIM HOW EXCITED I AM TO WORK WITH HIM, AND I EXPECT WE'LL CONTINUE TO DO GOOD THINGS AS A COUNCIL, SO THANK YOU.
THANK YOU. I WANT TO CONGRATULATE COUNCIL MEMBER ZIEGLER FOR REELECTION.
THANK YOU MAYOR. AND I'VE HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK WITH YOU ON A FEW THINGS.
AND I THINK YOU'RE GOING TO DO JUST GREAT HERE.
[ MANAGER’S REPORT: SUMMARY OF CURRENT EVENTS]
MAYOR, VICE MAYOR, MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL A FEW THINGS TO UPDATE ON THE SFR FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER ENDED UP AT 83, COMPARED TO 93 FOR OCTOBER OF LAST YEAR.IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN YET, SAGUARO BLOOM HAS STARTED ON PHASE ONE OF THE PARK OVER THERE.
AND THE GROUP THAT HAS BEEN HIRED, GOTHIC LANDSCAPING, IS REALLY DOING A PHENOMENAL JOB.
SO THEY'VE DONE A LOT OF GRADING, EXCAVATING PREPARING FOR THE FIELDS AND PUTTING IN IRRIGATION AND PREPARING FOR THE RAMADA AS WELL AS THE BATHROOM THAT WILL BE COMING, I BELIEVE, IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS HERE.
COMING UP. MANY THINGS GOING ON AT THE MARANA AQUATICS AND RECREATION CENTER.
SO JUST GREAT PROGRESS WITH STILL AN ANTICIPATED OPENING IN MAY OF 2025.
I'M SURE YOU'VE PROBABLY NOTICED WE HAVE A PARTIALLY CONSTRUCTED CHRISTMAS TREE OUT FRONT.
[00:05:01]
ALL OF THE WORKS BEING DONE RIGHT NOW, BETWEEN NOW AND DECEMBER 7TH, TO GET EVERYTHING READY FOR THE CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING EVENT, AND THAT WILL BE JUST AROUND THE CORNER FOR US HERE ON DECEMBER.IS IT THE 7TH? I BELIEVE YES DECEMBER 7TH.
AND THEN LAST, JUST WANT TO REMIND EVERYBODY THAT THE RTA IS HAVING SEVERAL OPEN HOUSES WITH REGARD TO THE RTA NEXT.
AND THAT PLAN THAT HAS BEEN SENT OUT IS NOT A FINAL PLAN.
IT'S JUST A PLAN THAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK FROM THE THE PUBLIC ON.
WE HAD A MEETING ACTUALLY TODAY DOWN AT CROSSROADS PARK AT THE LIBRARY, AND WE HAVE ANOTHER ONE SCHEDULED FOR LATER IN THE MONTH ON THE 18TH OF NOVEMBER UP AT DOVE MOUNTAIN STEM SCHOOL AND THEN ANOTHER ONE ON TUESDAY, DECEMBER THE 12TH OR I'M SORRY, 17TH FROM 5:30 TO 7 AT MARANA OR I'M SORRY AT MOUNTAIN VIEW HIGH SCHOOL.
AND THAT CONCLUDES MY REPORT, MR. MAYOR. THANK YOU, MR. MAYOR. I HAD A QUESTION. SO ON THAT RTA, BECAUSE I'VE BEEN PUTTING THAT OUT STRONGLY ON MY MEDIA FOR PEOPLE TO COME AND TO THE MEETINGS.
WHAT'S GOING TO BE THE AGENDA FOR THAT? I MEAN, WHO'S GOING TO BE THERE? ARE THEY ASKING FOR OUR OPINIONS ON WHAT WE THINK? BECAUSE OF COURSE, I'M SAYING CATTARO, CATTARO, CATTARO, CATTARO AND CATTARO.
BUT BUT REALLY WHEN WHEN I GET I'M GOING TO GO TO THE ONE AT DOVE MOUNTAIN.
WHAT CAN WE ASK QUESTIONS OR? YES. SO THERE'S A PRESENTATION THAT'S DONE BY THE RTA STAFF.
OKAY. AND THEN IT'S OPENED UP TO QUESTIONS.
AND ALSO THEN THE ABILITY TO LOOK AT WHAT SOME OF THE PROJECTS ARE, TO MINGLE WITH THE STAFF AND THEN TO PROVIDE THEY FILL OUT A SURVEY AND PROVIDE INPUT THROUGH THE SURVEY.
THIS IS THE TIME FOR OUR COMMUNITY TO BE ABLE TO VOICE THOSE CONCERNS AND QUESTIONS.
OKAY. AND THEN REMIND ME, TERRY, THE CITY, TUCSON, THEY'RE DOING AN ELECTION, AREN'T THEY? NOT ELECTION. WHAT AM I TRYING TO CALL FOR RTA NEXT.
RIGHT. THEY'RE GOING TO THEIR CONSTITUENTS AND ASKING FOR A HALF CENT.
SEPARATE FROM THE RTA, THEY'RE DOING A BALLOT INITIATIVE TO INCREASE SALES TAX BY HALF A CENT FOR A NUMBER OF VARIOUS QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES.
OKAY. SO IT'S ACTUALLY PRETTY SEPARATE THEN THEY GO DO WHAT THEY'RE GOING TO DO AND THEN RTA.
AND I MIGHT EXPAND A LITTLE BIT ON THAT.
THE PLAN THAT'S BEING SUBMITTED IS NOT NECESSARILY APPROVED BY THE RTA BOARD.
IT'S DIFFERENT ASPECTS THAT DIFFERENT PEOPLE HAVE ASKED TO HAVE INCLUDED.
AND IT'S JUST LIKE YOU SAID, COUNCIL MEMBER ZIEGLER YOU DON'T LIKE SOMETHING, YOU TELL THEM WHEN YOU'RE AT THE AT THE FUNCTION OR SOMETHING, AND IT'S TO GET COMMUNITY INPUT.
[ Relating to Budget; presentation of first quarter results (July-September) for the Town's General Fund and other selected major funds for the 2024-2025 fiscal year (Yiannis Kalaitzidis)]
ITEM P1 RELATING TO BUDGET.PRESENTATION OF THE FIRST QUARTER RESULTS JULY THROUGH SEPTEMBER FOR THE TOWN'S GENERAL FUND AND OTHER SELECTED MAJOR FUNDS FOR THE 2024 TO 2025 FISCAL YEAR. MR. KALAITZIDIS.
OVERALL, WE'RE HITTING THE MARK FOR THE FIRST QUARTER.
WE'RE LOOKING AT OUR REVENUES.
OUR GENERAL FUND IS COMING IN AT ABOUT 27%.
IT'S PRETTY MUCH WHERE WE WANT TO BE, PRECISION WISE.
[INAUDIBLE] LIKEWISE FOR THE FUND.
[00:10:08]
SO WE'RE TRACKING WELL THERE.OUR TRANSPORTATION FUND IS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS.
SO WE'RE AGAIN VERY HAPPY FROM THAT.
SO WE'RE HAPPY TO HAVE SOME OF THIS EXTRA MONEY AT THIS POINT.
OUR BED TAX FUND SHOWS AT 18%.
HOWEVER, AS YOU ALL KNOW, THIS IS VERY MUCH A SEASONAL CATEGORY.
SO WHEN WE LOOK AT THIS AMOUNT THAT WE'RE RECEIVING RIGHT NOW, ABOUT $286,000, THAT'S VERY COMPARABLE TO PREVIOUS YEARS AND WHAT WE WOULD EXPECT TO SEE WHEN WE LOOK AT UNADJUSTED NUMBERS.
YOU WILL RECALL, THOUGH, WE HAD TO GIVE A REFUND LAST YEAR DURING THE FIRST QUARTER, AND THAT'S WHY THERE MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT OF A DIP IN LAST YEAR'S NUMBERS, BUT OTHERWISE WE'RE DOING WELL THERE ALSO.
THE HALF-CENT SALES TAX FUND IS ALWAYS OF INTEREST.
I'M GLAD TO REPORT THAT WE ARE TRACKING VERY WELL HERE ALSO.
OUR REVENUES ARE AT ABOUT 24% OF BUDGET WHEN WE LOOK PURELY AT SALES TAX.
HAVING SAID THAT, WE CONTINUE TO SEE COLLECTIONS EXCEED $600,000 ON AN AVERAGE MONTHLY BASIS, AND THAT'S BEEN THE CASE SINCE THE INCEPTION OF THIS FUND.
SO THE GOOD NEWS ON THAT ONE CONTINUE.
WATER FUND, WATERFRONT WATER RECLAMATION FUND.
WHEN WE LOOK AT THE COMMODITY REVENUES, THE USER, THE USAGE REVENUES HERE, THE WATER FUND ACTUALLY IS A LITTLE BIT OVER THE 25% MARK, AND THE WASTEWATER FUND IS COMING IN AT ABOUT 24% OF WHAT WE GET FROM THE USERS, WHICH IS WITHIN EXPECTATIONS OF WHAT WE WANT TO SEE FROM THESE FUNDS AT THIS TIME OF YEAR.
WE COLLECT IT WITHIN 45 DAYS OF THE END OF THE FIRST QUARTER.
SAME THING ON THE EXPENDITURES.
I'M GOING TO BOUNCE AROUND A LITTLE BIT HERE.
EVERYTHING IS PRETTY MUCH WHERE WE EXPECTED WHEN WE LOOK AT OUR ENTERPRISE FUNDS WATER, WASTEWATER.
WE'RE MAKING OUR DEBT SERVICE PAYMENTS.
WE'RE SPENDING MONEY FOR OPERATIONS AND PAYROLL, AS EXPECTED.
EXCUSE ME. AND FOR THE HOUSE AND SALES TAX FUND.
AND IF YOU ASK JIM, I'M SURE HE'LL TELL YOU WE'LL BE OPEN IN MAY, WHICH WAS THE ORIGINAL PLAN.
THIS IS THE REFLECTING THE $13.2 MILLION THAT WE MADE AS A ONE TIME, ONE TIME PAYMENT TO PAY DOWN THE UNFUNDED LIABILITY FOR THE PENSION PLAN FOR OUR OFFICERS.
AND THAT'S WHAT IS REFLECTED IN HERE.
WITH THAT, I WILL BE HAPPY TO TURN IT OVER TO YOU FOR ANY QUESTIONS.
ANYONE HAVE ANY QUESTIONS? I DON'T SEE ANY QUESTIONS.
THANK YOU. CONSENT AGENDA COUNCIL PLEASURE.
[ CONSENT AGENDA The Consent Agenda contains items requiring action by the Council which are generally routine items not requiring Council discussion. A single motion and affirmative vote will approve all items on the Consent Agenda, including any resolutions or ordinances. Prior to a motion to approve the Consent Agenda, any Council member may remove any item from the Consent Agenda and that item will be discussed and voted upon separately.]
MOTION TO APPROVE. SECOND.MOVED AND SECONDED. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED.
[ Relating to Development and Public Works; update, discussion, and possible direction regarding public and private projects and development applications on the Town’s Marana Current and Proposed Projects internet site (Jason Angell)]
ITEM D1.ITEM D1 RELATING TO DEVELOPMENT AND PUBLIC WORKS.
MISS FARRELL. ARE YOU THE ONE UP ON THIS? I THINK YOU ARE. OH, IT'S JASON ANGELL.
GOOD. OR MAYBE THE GOOD THING IS YOU DON'T LOOK LIKE HIM.
GOOD EVENING, MAYOR AND VICE MAYOR POST COUNCIL MEMBER CAVANAUGH.
[00:15:04]
WELCOME. CONGRATULATIONS.CONGRATULATIONS HOPEFULLY WE KEEP IT THAT WAY.
[INAUDIBLE] AS WE DO, THE FIRST MEETING OF EVERY MONTH IS WE DO AN UPDATE ON THE MARANA DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITY. THERE HASN'T BEEN ANYTHING NEW ADDED SINCE OUR LAST MEETING, OTHER THAN THERE IS ONE LAND USE APPLICATION THAT IS HERE.
THIS IS A SILVERBELL RIDGE REZONING MODIFICATION.
THIS IS THE PROJECT THAT IS THE SOUTHWEST SIDE OF THE INTERSECTION OF [INAUDIBLE] AND SILVERBELL.
AND THERE'S A CONDITION AS PART OF THAT REZONING THAT REQUIRED THE UNDERGROUNDING DEALT WITH THE UNDERGROUNDING GROUNDING REQUIREMENT FOR UTILITIES. NORMALLY, A WAIVER FOR UNDERGROUNDING UTILITIES GOES TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION, BUT BECAUSE THIS IS A ZONING CONDITION IN THERE, IT WILL COME BACK TO THIS BODY AND YOU'LL ACTUALLY HEAR IT AT YOUR NEXT MEETING.
SO OUTSIDE OF THAT, WHAT I WAS GOING TO GO THROUGH IS THE PERMIT NUMBERS FOR THE MONTH, ALONG WITH WHAT MR. ROZEMA HAD REPORTED ON SFRS, WE HAD FIVE PERMITS RELATED TO COMMERCIAL.
FOUR OF THOSE WERE FOR REMODEL.
AND ONE OF THOSE IS A NEW BUILD.
I BELIEVE THE NEW BUILD WAS THE DAIRY QUEEN, WHICH I KNOW THE MAYOR IS ANXIOUSLY WAITING FOR.
FROM THE BUSINESS LICENSE STANDPOINT, THERE ARE NINE TOTAL.
FOUR OF THOSE ARE RETAIL, THREE ARE SERVICE, ONE IS ONLINE SALE AND ONE IS ESTATE.
NONE OF THOSE ARE RESTAURANTS.
SO THERE IS NO NEW RESTAURANTS IN THIS MONTH.
WHY DO YOU ALWAYS LOOK AT ME? FROM THE PERMITS, LIKE MR. ROZEMA HAD REPORTED 83 SFRS.
JASON, WHAT'S GOING IN AT FRY'S ON IN GLADDEN FARMS? RUMOR. KNOWN RUMOR.
WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY TENANT IMPROVEMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED TO US.
NOTHING. WE HAVE SEEN ON THE BERKELEY GROUP, WHICH IS THE FIRM THAT IS MARKETING IT.
ANY ANYTHING THAT COMES TO MIND? THERE'S A JERSEY MIKE'S THAT'S INDICATED IN THERE.
THERE IS LIKE A THAI, A THAI NOODLE RESTAURANT OF SOME SORT GOING IN THERE.
AND THEN NAILS YEAH I CAN IT'LL BE CLOSE.
OBVIOUSLY THE MCDONALD'S IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION, AND THEN PIMA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION WILL BE BUILDING A STANDALONE BANK ON THE FRONT SIDE, KIND OF NEXT TO THE WHERE THE GAS FUEL STATION IS, SO OUT THERE.
AND THEN THERE'S OTHER SPACES THAT ARE, LIKE A SHAVED ICE I HEARD SOMETHING.
I'VE HEARD BAHAMA BUCK'S, WHICH IS A SHAVED ICE THAT'S GOING IN THERE.
WHAT'S THE RUMOR ABOUT? SO THAT I WOULD SAY IT'S STILL IN MY BOOK IN THE RUMOR MILL.
BUT I WILL SAY THAT ON THE BERKELEY ADVERTISING MARKETING WEBSITE.
THEY DO HAVE THOSE PARTICULAR USERS LISTED IN THERE.
SO I WOULD SAY THAT ONE IS DEFINITELY ONE THAT WE WOULD CONSIDER.
ARE THERE MORE BUILDINGS TO GO UP? THERE ARE A COUPLE MORE MULTI-TENANT BUILDINGS.
ONE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION AND THAT IS NEAR LORNE ADAMS. THAT IS UP BEHIND THE MCDONALD'S.
I'M NOT SURE OF WHAT'S GOING IN THAT ONE.
AND THEN THEY'RE JUST BREAKING GROUND ON ANOTHER BUILDING AS WELL IN THERE.
IT'S THERE'S NO TENANT IDENTIFIED WITH IT.
THEY'RE MOVING REALLY QUICK TO GET THOSE BUILDINGS UP.
YEAH. AND THAT FRY'S IS GREAT.
IT'S CLOSE TO MY HOUSE SO IT'S EASY.
IT'S AMAZING. IT'S A BEAUTIFUL STORY.
BEAUTIFUL. FROM BUILDING PERMIT ACTIVITY.
[00:20:02]
AND FROM AN INSPECTION STANDPOINT, FOR THE MONTH, WE JUST DID JUST OVER 2000 BUILDINGS AS WELL, 2100 BUILDING INSPECTIONS FOR THE MONTH. OUR STAFF IS AVERAGING BETWEEN OUR FOUR INSPECTORS.BETWEEN 110 TO 120 INSPECTIONS A DAY.
AND THAT'S WHAT OUR STAFF COVERS FOR THE ENTIRE STAFF.
BUT ACTIVITY IS STILL THERE AND PRETTY CONSISTENT.
SO WITH THAT, I'LL BE HAPPY TO ADDRESS ANY OTHER QUESTIONS.
JASON. I'VE SEEN TEP DOING A LOT OF LINE IMPROVEMENTS, SANDERS, WENTZ.
IS THAT SOMETHING FOR THE THAT BIG POWER LINE OR THAT'S APCO.
SO WHAT'S TEP DOING? I MEAN THEY'RE PUTTING IN BIG METAL TRANSMISSION POLES.
MAYOR HONEA. COUNCIL MEMBER OR VICE MAYOR POST.
AND SO HE WAS ACTUALLY HELPING TO SET THOSE POLES IN MY AND HIS INDICATION IS THAT'S HELPING TO SET UP FOR ULTIMATELY SOME OF THE LINES THAT WILL BE COMING IN TO EITHER FEED THE GREER STATION OR TO ALSO CARRY LINES OUT OF THE GREER SUBSTATION AND THEN DISTRIBUTE THROUGHOUT NORTH MARANA.
WELL, IT'S KIND OF NICE BECAUSE MAYBE THEY WON'T FALL DOWN LIKE THEY HAVE BEEN.
IF THEY DO IT'LL BE A LOT WORSE.
WHEN'S THE PANDA EXPRESS GOING TO OPEN? MR. MAYOR, WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN A CONFIRMED DATE ON THAT.
IT COULD BE WHAT IT SHOULD BE LIKE ANY WEEK THEY'RE LIKE NEAR COMPLETION IN THERE.
THE INTERIOR IS PRETTY MUCH DONE.
YOU KNOW, THE PANDA EXPRESS? OH, IT'S OVER BY DUTCH BROTHERS.
PANDA EXPRESS AND RIGHT OFF OF THE MARANA INTERCHANGE, RIGHT ON THE FRONTAGE ROAD THERE.
YEAH. JASON'S BEING A LITTLE QUIET TONIGHT.
YEAH. DON'T WORRY. [INAUDIBLE] JASON IS THERE ANY WAY WHEN THEY PUT THE CONTRACTORS SIGN UP, WHEN THEY START THESE NEW ALL THESE NEW RESTAURANTS AND THINGS THAT ARE GOING IN THAT THEY COULD PUT WHO IT'S GOING TO BE.
AREN'T THEY PROUD OF WHO'S GOING TO BE THERE? I MEAN, IT'S YOU SEE THE CONTRACTOR WHO'S REALLY LOOKING, I MEAN, ME AND PEOPLE ASK ME WHO'S LOOKING FOR THE CONTRACT OF THIS BUILDING.
THEY WANT TO SEE WHAT'S GOING TO BE THERE.
YEAH. YOU DON'T SEE THAT UNTIL AFTERWARDS.
MAYOR HONEA, COUNCIL MEMBER OFFICER, WE DON'T HAVE A REQUIREMENT THAT SIGNAGE BE PLACED OUT THERE.
BUT ANYBODY THAT CALLS US, WE WOULD TELL THEM WHO'S GOING IN THERE IF WE KNEW.
WE KNEW FRY'S WAS GOING IN THERE YEAH. WE DIDN'T HOLD BACK ON THAT ONE.
I KNOW THAT ONE. 17 YEARS TWO WEEKS AND A DAY.
YEAH. ANY MORE QUESTIONS FOR MR.? I TOLD THE CHIEF I'D BE UNDER 25 MINUTES.
[ Relating to Mayor and Council; selection of the Vice Mayor (David L. Udall)]
UDALL. ITEM D2 RELATING TO MAYOR AND COUNCIL SELECTION OF THE VICE MAYOR.SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED? NAY. MOTION PASSES FIVE ONE.
I THINK WE NEED AN EXECUTIVE SESSION ON E2.
[ EXECUTIVE SESSIONS Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03, the Town Council may vote to go into executive session, which will not be open to the public, to discuss certain matters.]
NO, WE HAVE TWO.DO WE HAVE A MOTION TO GO INTO EXECUTIVE SESSION? MR. MAYOR, IT WOULD BE FOR E2, E3 AND E4.
E2, E3 AND E4 DO WE HAVE A MOTION? MOTION. ALL THOSE IN FAVOR SAY AYE.
AYE. WE ARE IN EXECUTIVE SESSION.
WE'RE BACK IN PUBLIC SESSION AND WE NEED TO TAKE SOME ACTIONS SO, MISS FARRELL.
[00:25:07]
SO MOVED. SECOND.OPPOSED? ITEM E3 MISS FARRELL.
AND THAT WOULD BE THE SAME MOTION AS WELL.
SECOND. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. OPPOSED? OKAY. THAT ALL CARRIES FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS.
[ FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS Notwithstanding the Mayor’s discretion regarding the items to be placed on the agenda, if three or more Council members request that an item be placed on the agenda, it must be placed on the agenda for the second regular Town Council meeting after the date of the request, pursuant to Marana Town Code Section 2-4-2(B).]
I DO HAVE ONE, MR. MAYOR. OKAY.I WANTED TO SEE IF TERRY JANE, WHOMEVER WOULD GIVE US AN UPDATE ON THE CONTRACT THAT WE SUBMITTED TO PIMA AVIATION.
IT'S BEEN A WHILE NOW, AND YOU GUYS KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, RIGHT? PIMA AVIATION.
SO IT'S BEEN I DON'T KNOW HOW LONG, TERRY IT'S BEEN, BUT IT'S BEEN A WHILE, AND I THINK THEY NEED TO ANSWER THE MAIL, SO I'D LIKE TO HAVE THEM UPDATE ON WHERE WE ARE.
YEAH. MR. MAYOR, VICE MAYOR, MEMBERS OF THE COUNCIL.
I COULD BRING YOU BACK HERE BEFORE A REGULAR SESSION.
WE DO HAVE SOME SCHEDULED TWO ON TWO MEETINGS.
WE HAVE COUNCIL MEMBER ZIEGLER WE DO HAVE THE COUNCIL AUTHORIZED A SIX MONTH EXTENSION, WHICH PUTS IT TO MARCH, AND I DON'T I DON'T KNOW THE EXACT DATE.
OKAY BUT THEY THAT WAS THAT WHEN THEY HAD TO RESPOND TO US.
MARCH IS WHEN THE LEASE EXTENSION EXPIRES.
RIGHT. MASTER DEVELOPMENT LEASE WOULD EXPIRE IN MARCH.
BUT THEY HAVEN'T WE HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING FROM THEM.
WE'VE HEARD A LITTLE BIT, BUT NOT MUCH.
YEAH, THAT'S ALL I WAS ASKING.
DO YOU WANT IT ON THE AGENDA OR DO YOU THINK WE COULD JUST DO IT IN OUR TWO ON TWO MEETINGS? SOUNDS LIKE WE COULD DO IT IN A TWO AT A TIME MEETING.
THAT'S FINE. TWO AT A TIME IS FINE.
ANY OTHER FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS? MOTION TO ADJOURN.
MOVED. ALL IN FAVOR? AYE. WE ARE ADJOURNED.
